The Stamboom is a mock newspaper agency where news articles are unofficially published as a form of practice. It serve as a portfolio of journalistic student writings made during the learning process of going through UCSI University’s Bachelor in Mass Communications Journalism Pathway.

"Stamboom" (Stahm-bu-m) is the Dutch word for "tree" or, more specifically, "family tree," to symbolise the strength of the press to the roots of a tree. It is also a metaphor for student journalist's unity for free and fair reports; a part of our course programme as Mass Communication undergrads going through the journalism pathway.
